Lots of things! I’m an Outdoors man. And because I’ve been in the Golf Industry as a Golf Professional, Instructor, and Golf Writer for a number of years, my Fun-Based passion is mostly surrounded by playing golf! Golf has been my anchor sport of choice and when I can get out and play, it’s the best therapy let me tell you. When I’m playing golf, I don’t think about anything else. I don’t think about business, obligations, or things that generally cause stress. ha ha ha When I’m playing golf, I’m enjoying my surroundings, the people I’m playing with, and the beauty of the outdoors and thinking about my next shot, or how I fouled up the last one! In more recent years I haven’t been as devoted to being the best player I can be but I’ve been more giving of my time to people who want to get better at it themselves and therefore have been doing more successful teaching. Being a Teaching Pro has made me a very laid back patient person over the years.
Among my other passions are traveling, RV Travel, Camping, and Fishing. When you travel you’re learning more about life than you can in any classroom. People are asking me all the time how I happen to have so much knowledge on such vast subjects and I just tell them that I am very well traveled. And that’s the God’s honest truth. Along the way I’ve paid very close attention to my surroundings and have been very good at watching people and learning from them. I don’t tend to stay grounded in one place for too long when I have the freedom to roam as I please. In my day I have been to several different continents, countries and cultures. Places like Ireland, Scotland, The UK, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines, Mexico, Canada, The Bahamas, The Dominican Republic, Italy, and Greece.
Friends, nothing is more relaxing than declaring yourself camping where you’re in the High Mountains in the Back Woods along a rapid running Trout Stream with a Beer in one hand and your fishing pole in the other! My favorite place to camp is up near Panguitch Lake in Southern Utah! And about 7 miles south of there is an area called Mammoth Creek that I’ve been going too when no one else knew it was there back in the early 1980’s. Today there are many expensive log cabin vacation homes and tons of other campers who have found out about it. But the fishing on Panguitch has always been good. It doesn’t get much better than that. The woods are so peaceful. Just like Golf, it’s an opportunity to get away from everything and enjoy all that God created for us. Cooking on a open fire, spending time with friends, and loved ones while sharing life’s stories, memories, and creating new ones is so much a part of life!
And my most passionate thing I like to for fun is helping people like you. Too many people are struggling in life today. Not surprisingly either, people that I find who struggle the most are those that have not had very many life experiences to have helped them along the way. There’s a strong correlation to that too because too many people these days have grown up around their computers, their video games and their stupid cell phones that they haven’t had the chance to really get out and experience life! And therefore have NOT had the interactions and relationships with people that have allowed them to really learn from their life experiences to get them to the next level. And in Business friends, it’s ALL about relationships. tragically, most people will not realize this until they’re on their death bed wishing they had done this or that but mostly because they learn much too late in life that there’s no one there to care for them. So if I can give back by truly helping someone to get to a higher level in life by teaching them a whole new set of skills that propel them to an different income level or status in life then that makes me feel good to have helped someone get to where they want to go! That’s the thrill for me having helped numerous people reach well beyond the $Six-Figure Income bracket. When you change someone’s life that way it’s really gratifying and rewarding.
